Personal Life Coaching

Have you ever had a WONDERFUL feeling of WELLNESS and HAPPINESS, a feeling of HOPE and being in CONTROL, that you would love to experience on a more REGULAR basis but don’t know how to recreate it?

About Me

My calling was to be a primary school teacher for over 15 years. In the late 1990s, a family crisis shattered my world and forced me to embark on a transformational healing journey.  A journey that led me to answer a second calling in holistic health.  I resigned from teaching and concentrated on personal growth, healing arts, and wellness of mind, body and spirit.

I am a Registered Natural Health Practitioner, a Certified Tapping Into Wealth Coach, a Certified Aromatherapist, a Certified Reflexologist, a Reiki Master, a Brain Gym® Consultant, and a Board Certified Polarity Practitioner and, since 1998, I have been running a home-based practice, “Mind Your Body & Spirit, from aura to core”.

I focus on transformation, whole body nourishment, and energy balancing, and I guide my clients to carve some time-out from their busy schedules to self-nurture, and reach a greater sense of relaxation, happiness and wellness. Healthy cooking is one of my many passions.   I am a Mediter-asian foodie, and a home chef who authored and published two books on nourishment for wellness in my Collection Olives to Lychees, Everyday Mediter-asian Spa Cuisine. I follow the Paleo diet and showcase fresh produce and the best flavours of the world, and I guide my readers and clients on how to resolve health and weight issues and create home spa care rituals that nourish body, mind, and spirit.

As a teacher, an author, a home chef, a “Mediter-asian foodie” and a “Nurture & Thrive” Transformational  Coach, my mission is to guide spiritually-minded and success-focused “women-preneurs” (and their husbands) who are struggling with inexplicable body pains, energy-sucking stress, money issues, and wanting so much more out of life to carve time in their busy schedule to nurture and nourish themselves, take care of their health, clear emotional and financial blocks, and re-fire to focus with certainty on what they are meant to be and do so they finally experience steady health, financial ease and the joy of living their life purpose.

Testimonials

“While going through a marital relationship problem, I felt I was in need of professional guidance. I wanted someone to talk to besides my immediate friends. I required that person to be caring and non-judgmental with whom I could open up, share my concerns, deeper emotions and inner conflicts.  A friend of mine put me in touch with Marie-Claire, a holistic health care practitioner. I found her to be thoughtful, sensitive, knowledgeable, and very supportive.

During my sessions with Marie-Claire, she listened intently to what I had to say. She offered feedback, presented various tools and techniques providing me the clarity to define a number of important short and long-term goals.

Towards the end of each appointment, she conducted energy healing solely focused on relaxation and concentration of my inner thoughts and emotions through a number of different holistic methods and breathing techniques.

I suggest anyone going through any kind of emotional imbalance or personal turmoil to consider seeking a holistic professional such as Marie-Claire. She offers an alternative approach to healing provided in a caring and loving setting. She guides you out of that “stuck” mode and helps to get you to recognize key obstacles that might be holding you back from moving ahead with your life in a positive, healthy and holistic manner.”

“I bought your book Olives to Lychees about a month ago. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and it really shook me – I’m 37 years old with two young daughters. While I still have a bit more treatment to do before I am out of the woods, I really wanted to make a commitment to a healthier lifestyle. I started looking into Paleo online – and then while talking to your husband, he told me about you and your books. I cannot tell you how much I love your book! I have used so many recipes from the book – and they have become family favourites. My two daughters – ages 6 and 4 – also love the food I am making. The banana apple muffins are staples in their lunch boxes, along with the smoothies I make them on a regular basis. It is funny hearing a 4-year old request Coq au vin! While I started as a means to get healthy – the wonderful side benefit for me has been a weight loss of 16 pounds so far. I feel great, and while I can’t really exercise due to ongoing radiation, I have been able to go on longer walks – and just feel like I have some control over what is happening to me. I just wanted to thank you so much and let you know how much your book is helping me and my family face those hurdles while still eating like we’re at a beautiful spa.” Carol K

Meaning of the Lotus Flower

The lotus, also known as the water lily, is a beautiful flower that grows in mud.
The thicker the mud, the more beautiful the lotus blooms!

Despite emerging in the morning from dirty and muddy waters where it retracts at night, the lotus flower remains fresh, clean and beautiful. It does that with grace, elegance and persistence. It is often seen as a metaphor for what a person is going through in life.

As you know, when life happens, we have choices: we can either retract under the bed covers… or we can do like the lotus – refusing to be pushed down, making the best of our situation, unfurling and shining brightly our beautiful Self under the sun. If we choose to see the worst situation as an opportunity to change and thrive, it can bring the best out of us: our love, our creativity, our brilliance. These difficult circumstances can often be our most priceless growth opportunities.

The lotus flower represents the heart; and as the bud develops, it symbolizes the opening to all that is about and around that person. A fully opened pink lotus flower represents a spiritual awakening, enlightenment, purity and rebirth.

The lotus is often used as a mandala or a visual design to meditate on the body’s energy centres, also known as chakras. Visualizing a lotus flower can help harmonize your chakra energies. See the short visualization below.

To connect with the lotus essence:
Sit comfortably, and breathe deeply… You can close your eyes…
Visualize the lotus blossom with its delicate petals gently unfurling to reveal its beauty, its purity and its wisdom…
Allow your energy centres (or chakras) to open like the blossom…
Listen to the wisdom of your heart; appreciate its beauty…
Let the purifying power of the lotus bloom cleanse, harmonize and stabilize your energy, and release lower vibration thoughts that don’t support you…
Let the lotus bloom help you bring balance in all aspects of your life…
Finally, be grateful for the muddy waters and the gifts from the lotus: the light and the lessons to awaken and grow.
Breathe deeply and notice how refreshed and energized you feel.
